Matt graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a B.S. in Accounting. After initially working as an auditor, Matt turned to banking and spent most of his career working for J.P. Morgan in Chicago and London. As a Managing Director in the Corporate Structuring and Solutions group, his responsibilities revolved around assisting corporate clients manage their financial risk and the impact of interest rate, foreign exchange and commodity volatility on business results. Working with horses started in his early teens when he was a stable hand in the Chicago suburbs and a special gratification developed when children with disabilities spent the day on horse and buggy rides with Matt as their guide.

He and his wife, Linda, raised two daughters in Chicago and London, but spent a good deal of time vacationing in the Rockies. While visiting Jackson Hole over 25 years ago, the attraction to the area was instantaneous. They bought a house in 2017 and moved permanently to Jackson Hole after Matt retired from J.P. Morgan in 2023. The opportunity to enjoy time with horses while enriching the lives of others came full circle when introduced to Jackson Hole Therapeutic Riding two years ago.

Matt and Linda enjoy biking, hiking, skiing and traveling, but being with family and their four grandchildren is the highlight of their free time.
